Peer Counseling
Our Peer Counselors are at the heart of empowering individuals on their mental health journeys.
Our approach emphasizes community connection, reducing isolation, and promoting self-care. Peer counselors help participants define personal values and goals while developing mindfulness and self-care techniques. For those seeking additional structure, we assist in creating individualized Wellness and Recovery Action Plans (WRAP®). Our partnerships with organizations in San Francisco and Marin County allow us to provide peer support in the community, ensuring no one faces their challenges alone.
For more information on personal one-on-one sessions with an experienced, compassionate Peer Counselor or to begin the enrollment process for yourself, your client, or a loved one, please fill out our short Referral Form.

Support, Education, Engagement, and Outreach (SOEE) Program
Our SOEE program is funded by SF DPH and is part of our REACH program. Peer Support Specialists (PSS) offer peer support on the psychiatric units at ZSF General Hospital. Post-discharge from the hospital, PSS provide non-clinical case management, linkages to community services, and peer counseling to participants. In addition, peer support and case management are provided to the participants who have been incarcerated in the San Francisco jails. Our housing-focused PSS, provide 1:1 and group support to those who are involved in the justice system and to LGBTQ+ participants and are transitioning into housing.
