Eviction Defense Collaborative

The Eviction Defense Collaborative (EDC) provides legal assistance to people who are in legal proceedings for eviction in San Francisco, including for alleged nuisance behaviors, which could include hoarding issues.​

Bay Area Legal Aid 

​BayLegal’s Legal Advice Line is a free legal hotline available to qualified low-income residents living in the Bay Area. They provide low-income clients with free civil legal assistance, including legal advice and counsel, effective referrals, and legal representation. ​For help with a legal problem involving Housing, Public Benefits, or Consumer Law,  call their Legal Advice Line for assistance.

Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco

Free tenant rights counseling for San Francisco renters ​
for both private and subsidized housing tenants, including tenants in public housing, low-income housing, and section 8 units.​

Counseling is available in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, English and Russian. They do NOT accept counseling questions via email.​
