This WRAP® (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) training is for those who want to learn to do their own WRAP in a group, and be qualified to work with an individual to develop their own WRAP. It is a precursor to the five day Certified WRAP Facilitator Training (WRAP Seminar II).

About the Trainer

Dr. Stephen Marks

DSC01987Stephen Marks has been serving in health service related fields since 1993. Among other things he is a certified Copeland Center Advanced Level WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) Facilitator, an Anderson and Anderson Certified Anger Management Facilitator and an eCPR (Emotional CPR) trainer. His professional and educational experience includes organizational development; adult learning; T-Group Learning; health services program evaluation; training curriculum development; substance abuse treatment and prevention evaluation and peer support; employee assistance program oversight; grass roots community organizing; domestic and community violence reduction and prevention; and HIV in the workplace sensitivity training.

Dr. Marks has worked with groups as diverse as graduates students at Stanford University, Asian immigrant drug addicts and Inmates at San Quentin State Prison. He is a suicide attempt survivor and was instrumental in the development of the HOPE (Honoring Our Perseverance and Empowerment) project of support groups for suicide attempt survivors, of which he is currently co-facilitator. Stephen has been enjoying his own substance abuse and mental health recovery and wellness for many years. He is currently at work on a novel based on his lived experience with stigma and involuntary treatments as an adolescent in state hospitals.
